Class Information

Regional chefs from Italy will visit arte italia throughout the year, focusing on traditional recipes with innovative techniques. The class schedule for each day will include a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisine from the chef's region. For each culinary class, the visiting chef will prepare an authentic Italian dinner including antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto and dolce. 

The menus change for each class. The chefs generally include fish, poultry, meats, dairy products, garlic, herbs and olive oil in their recipes. Some recipes may include nuts.

HOW DO I REGISTER? 
To become a member of the arte italia family join our contact list. Simply enter your information at the bottom of this page to receive e-updates. Members receive online news regarding culinary classes, art exhibits and other unique events. At the time of open registration, members will receive an e-mail containing the link to enter the random selection drawing. You will be notified if you are selected to attend a class. Upon notification, you will be asked to submit tuition payment. Receipt of payment confirms registration.

RANDOM SELECTION DRAWING 
Regional interest in arte italia’s culinary program has been overwhelming! Our guests are thrilled to dine in the cucina with visiting chefs but our seating capacity is very limited. To ensure the fairest possible seating for new and former participants, we utilize a computer-randomized system to select guests for each culinary class.

Updates to notification and payment policy: You may enter your name and the name of one guest (party of two). We will notify selected registrants by e-mail. Please do not send payment unless you have been specifically notified regarding selection. Payment instructions will be provided in the notification e-mail. Upon notification, please submit tuition payment. Receipt of payment confirms registration. Non-payment after 24 hours will release your seats to the waiting list. 

Classes are held at 442 Flint Street, Reno. Parking is located at the rear of the building. Additional street parking is available on both California Avenue and Flint Street, and metered parking on surrounding streets is free after 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and all day on Sundays and holidays.

Culinary classes are recorded for archival use and online culinary instruction. Please speak quietly for the benefit of other students and video viewers, and please drink responsibly.

All classes begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and are typically over by 8:30 p.m. 

Tuition Fees for Selected Registrants: 
$60 per class ($55 for seniors 65+ and students).

All culinary class tuition is donated to Roman Catholic charitable organizations.
